Our first Rosh Hashanah morning service was a breath of fresh air, some of it laden with ragweed pollen. About 15 of us met outside on the porch, sang, read the Torah portion and haftarah, got into many impromptu discussions and, in accordance with the mitzvah, heard the sounds of this shofar:
