Shabbat

Please join us for Shabbat services. You are welcome to come to all or any part of the service. For evening services, here’s the usual order of events:

6:30                Arrive, schmooze, etc.
7 – 7:45          Service, Kiddush, Motzi
7:45 – 9:30     Potluck dinner

Services and music are generally led by Robin Chotzinoff but everyone participates. If you have an idea for a service, and/or a role you could play, you are encouraged to speak up or email Robin.

Potlucks are coordinated by Deborah Tate. Deborah appreciates the chance to know what lies ahead, so please respond to the Meet Up invitations. This helps her steer people toward complementary dishes and avoid the infamous All-Hummus Dinner. But if you’re having a disorganized day, you should still come to Shabbat. Pick up a bottle of wine or grape juice if you think of it.

Dishes and silverware: as a virtually trashless minyan, the Firepit encourages everyone to bring their own dishes and wine (juice) glass. You may wash them here or take them home filthy.

For dates, times, food planning, and special instructions, go to Firepit Minyan at Meet Up.
